Terms of use

This site (sbrown-pen9-carbon-platform.netlify.app) is operated by Pennine Pixels Ltd ("Pen9", "we"). By using it you agree to the terms below. They are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

1. Information only

The site presents a description of the proposed PEN9 carbon-credit verification platform and an enquiry form for prospective consortium partners, anchor-pilot landowners, and DSIT-related contacts. Nothing on the site is an offer to sell or buy carbon credits, an investment solicitation, regulated financial advice, or a commitment that any specific institution has joined the proposed consortium.

2. Forward-looking statements

Statements about the future — the eighteen-month window, the DSIT Route 2 deadline, future Woodland Carbon Code or Peatland Code revisions, the FCA voluntary-carbon-market regime — are forward-looking and reflect our understanding at the date of this page. They are subject to change without notice.

3. Accuracy of third-party references

The Consortium section names four UK institutions as targets for letters of support. They are not committed partners and are listed as the proposed convening only. Any commitment from those bodies will be reflected on the site only after a written letter or memorandum is on file. Until then no inference of partnership should be drawn.

4. No guarantees on third-party data

Where the site references public datasets (Woodland Carbon Code registry counts, voluntary-carbon issuance volumes, DSIT timelines), figures reflect the most recent published numbers known to us at the "last updated" date and are presented as illustrative orders of magnitude.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Intellectual property

Site content, copy, layout, illustrations and SVG marks are © 2026 Steven Brown / Pennine Pixels Ltd unless attributed otherwise. The hero footage is licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 from the Welsh Government source noted on the page. Public-data references (DEFRA, Forestry Commission, Natural England, NRW, NatureScot) are attributed where used and remain Crown copyright under OGL v3.0.

7. Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pennine Pixels Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded as a matter of law.

8. Changes

We may amend these terms. The current version is always at /terms.html; the "last updated" date is authoritative.

9. Contact and complaints

To raise a complaint or request information, use the contact form or email digitaldenirouk@gmail.com.
